Why Is Microblading Removal Becoming So Popular

Microblading

How to fix your microblading and remove your bad Eyebrow SPMU

Smudged SPMU? Faded SPMU?

Microblading has revolutionized the beauty world, giving people effortlessly defined eyebrows without the need for daily pencilling. But as trends have changed over the years, preferences evolve, and not every microblading job turns out perfectly.

Sadly though, microblading also seems to have a shelf-life. Microblading can often expand in the skin looking smudged. Its common. Gone is the sharp, chiselled look you started with. A microblading top-up session can even fill in those lovely feathered ink swipes that once resembled individual hairs and start making them look blocky, like someone has felt-tip penned your brows on. Time to get your microbladed eyebrows removed and start again!

This is where microblading removal with professional tattoo removal machines comes into play and it’s becoming a popular choice for those who want a fresh start.

Cost of microblading removal with us:

Just £125 per session.

How many sessions will it take to removal my microblading?

Tattoo removal can remove your old microblading brows in just 2-3 sessions but be prepared for some interesting colour changes in-between. Dependant on which ink was used, colour, brand, age etc – your black brows may change to red after session 1 then to yellow then off. Be prepared! Some may take more sessions to remove but average is 3 sessions.

Microblading removal has become increasingly popular for several reasons:

Unwanted Results: While microblading offers semi-permanent results, the outcome doesn’t always match expectations. Whether it’s a shape you’ve fallen out of love with or pigment that didn’t heal correctly, many people find themselves wanting a redo—or complete removal.

Changing Trends: Beauty trends evolve quickly, and the bold brows that were in a few years ago might not suit today’s softer, more natural looks. Microblading removal allows you to update your style without being stuck with a look that feels outdated.

Faded or Miscoloured Pigment: Over time, microblading pigment can fade or change to unwanted colours like grey, blue, or even red. Removal gives you the chance to clear the slate and start fresh.

Microblading Improvement: Since microblading and SPMU (semi-permanent make-up) took the industry by storm, the technique has also improved, now therapists are able to create feathered natural looking brows, which is a contrast from the blocked brows it used to create.

Improved Technology: Advanced machines, like the Pico focus tattoo removal machine, make the process faster, safer, and more effective than ever. This has encouraged many people to take the plunge.

Microblading

Laser microblading removal uses the same advanced laser technology as traditional tattoo removal, but with some key differences that make it quicker and more targeted. If you’ve been thinking about eyebrow tattoo removal here is how it works.

A Picofocus laser emits high-intensity pulses of light that penetrate the skin and break up the microblading pigment into tiny particles. Over time, your body naturally flushes these particles out through its lymphatic system. Microblading pigment is much more superficial than traditional tattoo ink, sitting closer to the surface of the skin. Because the pigment isn’t as deeply embedded, it usually takes only 3 sessions for complete microblading removal compared to the 6–12 sessions often required for body tattoos.

Things to note when choosing your SPMU removal clinic: (if you don’t choose us)

  • Machine brand/type matters! – Look for a professional, free-standing machine. Not a small tabletop machine. They are often not big and therefore powerful enough. Compact machines mean less power.
  • Watch out for multi technology machines. Some machines (such as allwhite) offer 3 technologies in one machine, hair removal, tattoo removal and skin rejuv. They often do all 3 badly or not powerful enough as stand-alone machines.
  • Cost – seems cheap? Normally a reason. Cheaper isn’t better when it comes to clinics. You may be several sessions in wondering why nothing is happening or worse – blisters or burns.
  • Check results and reviews.

Pre- and Post-Treatment Care

Before Your Session:

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
  • Don’t apply makeup or skincare products directly on the area being treated.
  • Stop using active ingredients like retinol or glycolic acid on the area for at least 7 days prior.
  • Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet to support your skin’s healing process.

After Your Session:

  • Keep the treated area clean and dry. Avoid applying any makeup for at least 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid sun exposure and always use SPF on the treated area.
  • Don’t pick or scratch at the skin as it heals to prevent scarring.
  • Avoid swimming, saunas, or excessive sweating for at least a week after treatment.

Microblading Removal FAQ’s

Will the microblading laser damage my eyebrow hair?

No, tattoo removal technology used is very different to laser hair removal so when using a laser for removal of your microblading, hair won’t be removed.

Does Microblading Removal hurt?

Laser microblading removal doesn’t hurt anywhere near as much as full tattoo removal as the ink isn’t as deep into the skin but it isn’t the most pleasant. It is however over in literally seconds. Ice packs can be used to minimise pain.

Will I Have Irritation And Redness?

After a removal session, it’s common to experience some redness, swelling, and mild irritation at the treated area. This will subside within 24-48 hours.
